Overview

Treat yourself with the best ingredients for this delightful dessert. Eat sparingly during your cleanse program. Use raw cacao (uncooked cocoa powder) if you can get it; unsweetened organic cocoa powder as a substitute, if you can't.

Chocolate Nut Mousse

Ingredients

  • 2 cup(s) coconut flakes, or fresh coconut meat, if you have it

  • 2 tablespoon(s) raw cacao powder

  • 1/4 cup(s) raw cashews or hazelnuts

  • 2 tablespoon(s) raw honey

  • 1 cup(s) fresh or frozen organic raspberries

  • 1 dash(es) coconut flakes or raw cacao nibs for topping (optional)

Steps

1. Put all the ingredients, except the raspberries and toppings, in a high speed blender and blend until smooth. Be careful that is isn't to liquidy, or bulky. You may have to add about 1 tablespoon of water to get the right consistency.

2. Divide and spoon out the frozen raspberries into four small dessert cups.

3. Scoop out the mousse mixture onto the raspberries, top with the optional toppings, and place in the refrigerator for about one hour. This does not have the consistency of traditional mousse, it is denser and richer.  Enjoy!
